Thursday, September 17, 2009

It is just amazing to know how a small bag of tea we put in a cup in front of us needs a long process to be served. It all starts from the plantations where millions of tea plants are cultivated. Once, the tea leaves are ready for pluck, groups of young to middle-aged women swarm around the vast plantation ready to pick up the young leaves of the tea.

Here are the all processes go on:

1. A perfect shoot, ready to be plucked

2. Plucking / Harvesting

3. Withering

4. Rolling

5. Drying

6. Sorting

7. Packing

8. Bulk Tea

9. Packaging

10. Serving
